Calling all losers =)

Ok....so as my profile states, I've been fighting a losing battle with my weight most of my adult life. Today, I was going through my notes and I just realized that I have been gaining/losing the same 20# for the last two years (probably longer just with no record).
Here is my question to those of you who have lost 100+ pounds....
I know everyone loses weight at different speeds, but how long did it take you? Was it strictly the calories in/calories out method? How did you overcome the mental block that seems to accompany stalls, frustrations, etc?
I'm anxious to read your comments and great job on your hard work!

I have NOT lost 100+ lbs (but want to! :O)). I have lost over 60 lbs though and it's taken me about 8.5 months. My philosophy has been: "Don't do anything you're not willing to do for life." I have failed miserably in the past because I always looked at this as a "diet" and something that I would ultimately go off of... That is not the case this round for me. No food is off limits, and I never tell myself I can't have something. However, I work my tail off every day. For me, I'd much rather workout hard and be able to have pizza on the weekend then to live on a diet of celery and carrots for life (don't get me wrong, I love celery and carrots - and eat them regularly, but sometimes it's nice to just enjoy something "sinful"). I appreciate those who eat clean all the time, and understand why they do it, but for me, life would be miserable. Maybe this will change over time (I've already noticed changes in my eating - I really don't eat fast food at all anymore, for example), but this has really helped me keep my sanity.
I'm sure there are others who have suggestions or who have gone about it in other ways. I've seen several posts here about those who have lost over 100 lbs in like 6 months or something crazy, but for me, I'd rather take it a little slower and know that I can continue to do this for life. Hang tough and know that it is possible - I firmly believe this! It doesn't matter how you do it; just do what works for you. :O)

I was 320 lbs in December and I've lost a little over 130 lbs in the last 10 months with My Fitness Pal simply by sticking to my calorie count every day. I am not eating overly healthy and I am not doing exercise. It should be noted that I have never gone over my calorie count even once in the 10 months I have been using MFP and I am honest about the calories in the food I am eating. My New Years resolution for 2013 will be to get in great shape because there is a difference between being skinny and being healthy.0
