How low cal is low cal?

These (http://www.hairybikers.com/recipes/skinny-lemon-cupcakes-with-drizzly-icing/1618) Hairy Bikers cupcakes are approx 167 per cake. But I got 16 out of the batch, so the cal count was lower. and I didn't ice them. Also, they really don't need bicarb in them.

you can also substitute lemon for coffee. Or put in some dark choc chips for a few more cals.

What is considered "low calorie" for you? Everyone is different.

If you check my blog out on my page I have a few low calorie dessert recipes, along with dinner, lunch and breakfast low calorie recipes as well. It's not private so you should be able to see it.

Thanks :) Low cal: as low as it can go... (while still being yummy)
  • make sugar free jelly with diet sprite, it sort of fizzes and is super yum. (if you like jelly) is only about 10 calories a serving. Splash out and add UltraMel Lite custard for a few more calories

Jillian Michael's low cal brownies (90 cals for a decent size one) are a-freakin-mazing. I like them better than regular brownies.

  • Ok that link bragaswag suggested is pretty awesome. Looks quite delicious. Google weightwatchers desserts, they have some pretty nice ones.

All those low cal baked goods pretty much spell death to most diet plans. Unless you're the type of person who doesn't have a problem with over-eating (in which case you wouldn't be on this website), then snacking on baked goods and processed carbs will just eventually lead to over-eating. The fact that the baked goods are supposedly "low cal" will probably just lead you to over eat them even more.

And besides, your boyfriend probably doesn't want to some brownie that tastes like water. If you're going to eat crap, then at least make it worthwhile by having the full fat, high calorie, glorious tasting baked good that it's supposed to be. Then you can't pretend they're good for you. And hopefully you'll eat them sparingly, but enjoy them when you do.
