Not really a treat any more

One Friday a month or so, I don't take my usual homemade lunch to work, but allow a take-out lunch. So, I sat down this morning and planned my "treat", even looked up the nutritional content on the KFC website and told myself I'd have to drink more water to counteract the sodium dump I was planning.
I had the Zinger burger from KFC, and, yes, it was delicious while I was eating it... but my body absolutely doesn't agree with me--I feel a little sick to my stomach, and rather lethargic now.
The longer I live my new lifestyle, the less tolerant I get of the foods I used to eat daily. Isn't that wonderful!! :glasses:
Do you find the same happening to you?

Definitely. Except for chocolate. But I am hoping that if I stay away from it long enough I won't be able to tolerate the same quantity as before.0

I know what you mean. When I've been very good about eating healthy for a while and then if I end up eating something that is high fat, fried or loaded with sugar my intestines let me know they are not happy with me. Good reasons to keep eating healthy.0

I have noticed that more and more. Now when my husband has one of his late night cravings and asks If I would like something from one of my old favorite fast food joints, I no longer give him a dirty look. Now I just give him a green look. The thought of eating that garbage is a major turn off now. lol. There's lots of "foods" that I used to crave and now I don't have any desire to. Nice to know there are more of us out there.0

I love chocolate, too. I ration it out in single serve individually wrapped portions--don't really trust myself with a whole bar0 -
I'm having the same trouble, I ate a crispy chicken sandwich from wendys yesterday prior to a job interview and I felt awful the rest of the night, my stomach was killing me. Same thing happened last week when I had a hot dog with ketchup, which I ate as a kid constantly, but it made me feel the same way, just yucky and miserable.0

YES!
Last week, after a beer or two with friends, I was craving sme Taco Bell. It didn't taste as great as it used to going down...and even less so when it came up a few hours later! :sick: I was thinking "Oh come on, body! Can't we compromise? I won't do this to you often if you let me enjoy it once in a rare while!" :laugh:0
