Stop Smoking - Gain Weight ???

How many of you have quit smoking since you've lost weight?

I quit 7 days ago & have gained 2 pounds... I reached goal about 4 weeks ago...
I know all the tricks, carrot sticks, pretzels, tic tacs, grapes, gum...
I'm making sure that I'm under calories, but I'm eating the wrong things right now..

What I want to know, is how many of you have lost your 'quit smoking' weight..?
Was it very hard for you..?

I'm still walking & lifting weights everyday...

  • I quit about a year ago...in the beginning when cravings were really bad I gained about 5-10 pounds quickly....It took me a while but I was able to take it back off.

    You can't fight a war on two fronts....you reached your goal weight- GREAT! But quitting is a HUGE benefit for your health and longevity! Don't stress too much about eating- as long as your not smoking... Once you feel confident that you are an EX smoker you can turn your energy back towards losing whatever you put on. If it were me I probably wouldn't even weigh in for the first month b/c I'd be afraid the scale would derail my efforts at quitting. That's just me. However you do it...PLEASE STick to it!!! QUIT! QUIT! QUIT!!!!!
