November goals! What are your goals??

Options
I learned this acronym through a sales training process I went through a couple years ago. It's all about setting S.M.A.R.T. goals!

Short term
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
T stands for my terrible memory at the time of writing this because I can't remember!

Short term - pretty easy to understand. Yes we should have long term goals as well but short term can be the babysteps needed to reach your long term goal.

Measurable - Should be something you can put a number or visibly see or do. Not, "lose weight" or "see my toes". But rather, "lose 10lbs" or "lose 6 inches in my belt line".

Attainable - Kind of self explanatory as well. Losing 100 lbs in a month is not attainable unless you chop off a couple limbs. Losing 100 lbs in a year is an attainable goal, depending on how much you weigh. Getting 14 hours of sleep a day is attainable but it also plays into the next letter, "R"

Realistic - Getting 14 hours of sleep a day is attainable, but if you work 10 hours a day it is not realistic that you would get that much sleep (or really be healthy doing so). Doing 100 pushups a day for a month is attainable, but is also not realistic if you are starting off only being able to do 10/day before your arms feel like they are going to fall off.

T - Make your own!

My November goals:

Go to bed at 10pm on average each week night.
Cut down my weekly or bi monthly cheat meal to 500 calories or less.
Workout 5 times a week.
Eat fish 2 times a week.
More to come perhaps.

Now tell us what YOUR S.M.A.R.T. goals are!

I'm in HR and we use SMART goals at my work. The 'T' is for timely. :-)

My November goals are to work out for an hour, 4 times a week
    Keep losing 2lbs per week
Eat back most of exercise calories
    Join gym and take classes

However, these may have to start a bit late because we're going to Vegas next week.

Go to the gym FIVE times a week for at LEAST an hour! No more excuses.
Drink EIGHT cups of water each day.. Not just 6.
Park at the top of the parking garage at work and take the stairs.
Start eating small meals every 3-4 hours.
READ MORE! (Your brain needs to be strong too!) ;)
Making better alcohol choices on the weekend. Texas girls love their beer.
I wanna lose 5-10 pounds by the end of the month!
BOOM. Think I can do it?!

    1) Do 4k race ("beer run")
    2) Do 5k race (@ Disney)
    3) Start training for either 10k or half marathon
    4) Lose average of 1/2 lb a week (my weight loss has been sloooow moving, this seems attainable though)
    5) Get back on track with 3 x's/week strength training, at least 2 x's a week minimum (due to an injury, I haven't been keeping up that schedule the last two weeks)
    6) Start cross training on my bike again

90 minutes of cardio per week, either 3 sessions @ 30 min or 2 sessions @ 45 (I weight train so I don't focus on cardio as much right now)

clean eating all the way up until Thanksgiving. I will allow that day to be a "cheat" and up until then I will stick to my plan as closely as possible.

My continuing goal is to continue eating healthy and MOVING my body. I am not setting exact weight loss goals anymore, just doing the things I know I should be in a effort to get healthier! The weight loss comes along with it, and that is fabulous!
