how to log distance walked?

Options
I am on my feet all day and wear a pedometer to see how far I walk. I want to put this into my exercise on here. But Instead of being able to put that I walked 9 miles, I have to put a time. But I am on my feet off and on all day, there is no way for me to keep track of the time.

I walk around a park near my house, it takes me about 50 minutes to do 3 miles.

So it would take me about 150 minutes to walk 9 miles at the park.

Do you guys think it would be accurate if I used this calculation method?? IDK how to do this. Does anyone else have a similar problem, what do you do?

I'd recommend either 1) estimating how long you were actually on your feet walking, and at about what speeds, or 2) adjust your BMR multiplier to take into account the fact that you're on your feet, walking all day.

I mostly sit on my butt all day, so I stick w/ the Sedentary multiplier, but if I walked a lot during a normal day, I'd switch to a higher activity multiplier.

It doesn't matter if you are just logging calories burnt.
Create an exercise (say "day to day") put in anything for the time and enter the cals.
If you really need to track time, you had better get a stop watch. ;)
