I was out walking and I think some homeless man bit my hand. I think he must have been on those bath soaps or something. I pushed him away and yelled and he really didn't respond much. It was pretty hard and broke the skin, so peroxide time! Got a little bit of a fever but I think it must be unrelated to it. If the redness doesn't go down I think I might have to go to the walk in clinic soon.

    Seriously, coming here for medical advise is silly :smile:

    If weird stuff is happening, spend a relaxing afternoon in the ER or urgent care waiting room, get a tetanus shot and a blood test. better safe than sorry.

    I don't know if laying down and napping is a good idea. If you did get some kind of infection, it could cause some serious joint damage if you let it go for very long.

    I knew a lady that got her hand tore up by a cat..bites and everything. It got infected real bad. The whole thing was swollen and she couldn't move it until the hospital had her on IV antibiotics for 24 hours.

    How did you get close enough to a homeless person for them to bite you? Even when giving them money, I stay at least arms length.

    According to the walking dead, you have to chop off that limb asap. Otherwise, you are infected :P

    Jokes aside, I hope you went to that clinic and they ran blood work on you. There's many diseases (not just HIV but that's a big thing too) that can be transmitted through the blood stream.

    Also, I've read recent news about people on bath salts.. hmm.. the epidemic has began..

    i laid down for a wile. really it stopped throbbing, just typingone handed for now thouhj just want to say it worke outg ok and i dont have pain, just gause stopped the bit of blood, cheers
