do you think it scares men

when you tell them that you work out? i used to see a few, but when i told them that i loved working out and wanted to get fit and healthy, they said i look fine the way i do and stopped talking to me. it wasn't even obsessive talking, i only mentioned it and they seemed a bit turned off. has it happened to you too?

It's probably not that they are turned off, they are just not in the same lifestyle as you and have no desire to change.

I had kind of the opposite problem more than halfway through my weight loss. A couple dates talked about the activities they liked to do (hiking, etc.), and I told them I did, too. They apparently didn't believe me. I've lost about 30 more lbs since and have enjoyed those activities. I guess they were wrong.

If it scares them, they aren't worth it. My husband says he loves the way I look too, but also finds it attractive that I work out and take care of myself. You don't want the type of guy who doesn't love that you work out.

Not that I'm "in the market", but no, it would not scare me. I'd try and land a "work-out" date and see which one of us collapses first.

It won't care most of us. If anything it would be another thing we'd have in common.
