Please feel free to look at my food diary and let me know how I am doing. I will be on MFP one month on Nov 5th and I am only down 8pounds. I will weigh tomorrow to see where I am at. I just need all the help I can get.
Thanks

That's exact amount of weight you can safely lose to keep the weight off in 4 weeks. I didn't look at your diary, but your fine.0

Down 8 pounds in a month is very good. Fast weight loss is not good for you. How much do you weigh? If you are not over 175 then you are losing too fast. Also your protein is not consistent and maybe too high some days unless you are working out. How much water are you drinking? Maybe also up your fiber.0

Down eight pounds in one month and you're eating more than 1200 calories?

your diary looks good and 8lb in a month is a good steady loss, I dont think you need to change anything0

While I do agree with the others about 8 lbs in a month being awesome. There are some areas that could help improve your overall nutrition.
- Incorporate more whole grain food and reduce the white flour products. (more fiber with your carbs)
- Your protein is a little low but still within a good range. Consider a good quality protein supplement or increase the amount of lean protein in your meals.
-Watch the processed and prepackaged foods. Especially some of the low-carb or low-fat stuff. Read labels if you can not pronounce it don't eat it.
...just my 2 cents...keep up the good work0 -

I would actually say your protein is too low. The numbers MFP give are very very low. If you are working out and strength training I would go for higher protein as it helps your muscles to recover. That is just my opinion though so do whatever works for you.
However what everyone else has said is right. 8lbs in a month is awesome so keep at it. You're doing good.0 -
I think you are doing excellent! That's what I've been losing per month! You just have to be very patient. Make sure you do some type of work out that you really enjoy :: cough cough try zumba cough:: hehe0

That's a healthy weight loss. The only thing I noticed from your diary is that your protein target is very low. I would go in and manually change you ratios of carb:fat:protein. You should be aiming for at least 100g protein per day, they do say 1g/lb body weight especially if you're active. Getting more of your calories from protein might help0

Well I agree that your weight loss is great but you can make better choices on your meals (I mean who can't! ).
As you drop weight it gets harder. I had to really tighten thigns up after 30 lbs and now I'm at almost 50 (lost 7 before starting MFP) and I can't excercise right now due to an injury so I have to eat super tight.
Things best to drop over time are Bannans, Cheese, Breads and any fast food (The KFC Chicken you ate had over 1000 grams of sodium....can you say water weight?).
Apples and berries are great fruit to eat that don't pack sugar. Veges, Veges, Veges will be your new best friend. Egg Whites cooked with some olive oil (high in calories but the fat in olive oil really helps me to lose weight) with spinach and chicken sausage from Applegate makes for a great breakfest super high in proten and low in calories. Low fat cottage cheese, Red Mills Oatmeal that has 0 sodium and 0 Cholesteral will keep things movnig.
Don't get me wrong. your doing great and keep it up! Any changes I've suggested I would add SLOWLY. If your losing fast right now stay with what your doing. But when it slows down (and it ALWAYS slows down so don't get discouraged) start making substituions. Maybe 1 per week. And of course lots of waking and excercise lets you eat more!
Good Luck!0
