So I'm thinking on getting a fitbit...the only thing is, which one, and what do you suggest?? I had posted a search about it on MFP, but found like 50 pages, and read some posts that it doesnt synch to MFP correctly....frusterating... Being a PE teacher, and a Zumba instructor I would like to really know my cals, steps miles, etc...Also, I saw there was a water added function, do you manually add that or does it add it for you...
What one would you suggest?
-Fitbit- ULTRA
or
-Fitbit- ONE
...............Thanks for your info!!!

I love my fitbit. I've had it for a year. I have an Ultra. I find it synchs perfectly. I once dropped it in the toilet and it had no affect at all. Not that I suggest getting it wet. I really love it. It stays charged for at least two weeks so I really love that too.0

I have the Ultra and love it. Fitbit doesn't auto track your water intake. You have to type that in yourself.
The main difference between the Ultra and One is the One has bluetooth capabilities which means it can sync through your smart phone whereas the Ultra will only sync when you're near a computer. Since most people have a cell phone on them, it's probably better to get the One.0 -
I have an ultra but if you are buying now and have a smart phone then I would suggest the One as it syncs through Bluetooth to the app on your phone each time you go into the app.. This means that you will be kept upto date with calories burn during the day and when you are away from home e.g. On holiday.0

I originally got a fitbit, but realized that it doesn't track heart rate, so how could it truly give you a good idea of how many calories you burned especially when doing exercises like spin. So, I returned it and got a body media band instead and I love it! It does everything fitbit does but more. Similar price too. It says it reads 9,000 readings per minute! I wear the band all day and night except for one hour when I am showering and you start to not even notice it is there. Love it!0

I just recently got a Fitbit Ultra. I dont mind that I cant sync it through my phone because I work in an office and am always at my computer anyway.
I had an issue with it though and it stopped working, but Fitbit are sending a replacement one, so that's fine with me.
I think its a really effective little thing but I think the way I use it is more to make sure I reach 10 000 steps, 10 floors etc..
And if by the end of the day, I havent reached that, I know i have to go for a little walk to make it up.0 -
