I need a diet buddy!

Well I've tried the diet thing alone, doesn't work for me. I like having that person who has to go through the same things as you. I mean it's hard to do this alone!

    I will be your buddy! Unless you want someone younger..lol You can do this if your really wanting this new lifestyle. You can not think as it as a diet. It's lifestyle since this is how you will live your life now, so if your ready to start you can add me as your friend.

    It is difficult to do this by yourself. This site really helps because we are all on the same journey of becoming healthy and there are a lot of supportive people on here. I have another 50 lbs. to lose and can always use a diet buddy. Feel free to add me for support and motivation. Note: I am unable to exercise at this time due to having major abdominal surgery 2 wks ago.

  • Hi, just by joining MFP you already have support and friends. As others have said, don't think of it as dieting, its a change of lifestyle. If you do fall off the wagon, don't beat yourself up over it. Just dust yourself down, climb back on and carry on. Believe that you can do it, and you will!!

  • Wow lots of replies lol. When I say diet, I just mean changing the way you eat, not starvation. I have been doing it slow by myself so far and have lost 60 pounds at around 2000 calories.

    Any and all can add me. I have about 100 pounds to lose. I lost 62 but fell off the wagon. I just updated my weight today to reflect that gain. Yesterday I started eating low-carb (30 net or less) and I feel wonderful today. Lost 2 pounds since Tuesday. Water weight or not, it motivates me to keep going. I love all the support on this site and would love to give you some support.

    I need a diet buddy, too! I was on MFP with my fiance before & we were losing weight at a really good pace. But, then, we got married, and I don't have a job. He's working in construction, so he's still losing weight. But, not me! He instigated this challenge where I need to exercise 3 times a week for 30 minutes minimum. Also part of it is counting calories via MFP & just trying to be more healthy as a whole.
    I could definitely use the encouragement!

  • Yeah it is, especially when my husband and stepson have no interest in changing their diet. Hubby likes being big. He likes big women. I don't like being big though.
