    Evil Dead, AoD, Alien (I think it counts when all is said and done), Return of the Living Dead, Repo! The Genetic Opera, Life of Brian, The Princess Bride, The Fifth Element, and I really need to rewatch Pi.

    Just thought I would throw a few out uncommon ones out there myself that I personally love.

    Rumble Fish (Francis Ford Coppola may be known for The Godfather, Apocalypse Now but this is an absolutely riveting gem, his own favourite :) )

    Heat (one of the best crime films - brilliant, nuanced performance by De Niro and a typically badass Pacino among others)

    Bottle Rocket (Wes Anderson's first)

    Stand by Me (a brilliant coming-of-age masterpiece by Rob Reiner - who also made The Princess Bride)

    Waking Life (Richard Linklater's rotoscoped meditation on various topics - lucid dreaming, reincarnation, quantum physics, love)
