NSV - FRIDAY!

I looked at myself in the mirror today and I wasn't grossed out.

For me, that is HUGE.

I finally can truly see the positive changes in my body. I can see that all the work is paying off.

What's your NSV? :)

My NSV was yesterday when shoppping for a new shirt to wear to an interview. I went into the store and directly to the plus size section. After grabbing a couple shirts and trying them on I realized they were ALL loose on me. So, reluctantly I grabbed an XL in the regular women's section to try on. Looked at the shirt and thought...I am going to have to make due with one a little too big because this looks too small. Went into the dressing room and tried it on....and IT FIT perfectly. Not too tight in even one spot! Amazing feeling :)

That's a great win, Natasha. You rock!

In a similar vein, I been thinking every time I look in the mirror for the last weeks that everything moving forward is just bonus. I'm pretty happy and just keeping at it for the forever factor. I can see things that I want to improve and that will, I still carry a 5 lb loaf in the wrong area but it's all extra special sauce from now on in - I'm more concerned about the endurance I lose in winter from doing less.

The pair of size 8 jeans I wore yesterday. I bought them thinking I'd wear them when I reached my goal, but they fit now. :)

Also, my hubs said to me yesterday that I look thinner this week than last week. That blew me away!

ETA: OP, seeing the changes in your body is a HUGE NSV!! Well done!!

Nice, my recent one was having to buy a new wedding band. My fingers shrunk so now I am size 9 down from size 10.5.

Buying clothes off the rack instead of out of catalogs...Much cheaper, too.

I went on vacation for a week and ate like a complete FAT COW the entire time, but came home and got right back on track with my calorie goals! AND learned I didn't gain any weight from my vacation! *whew*
  • i just bought my first above the knee skirt suit. I havent worn dresses for decades except as long tops with trousers and today i saw a gorgeous navy skater style dress with matching waist length jacket and i bought it. I do this a lot and normally would've shoved it in the wardrobe but as im only 7lb from final goal i tried it on and it looks amazing. No trousers because i dont need to hide i just wore regular tights!! i have legs!!
  • Yay!! Such great NVS's!! :)

This: I bought this ring circa 1999, took me 2 full years to pay it off (thankfully the jeweler was willing to take very small payments as I was in school and working part time) I've worn it on my smallest finger occasionally, but not been able to get it on my proper finger since mid-2005

Now, when I can get it back over the other finger will be even better NSV!

When I started my weight loss I was wearing size 40 pants (probably should have been a 42'' waist!!) but now I am comfortably in a 36" waist and everytime I look at them I think that I will never fit in them, but some how I do.....
