how do i post a fitness ticker??? HELP!! i dont get it!

I am trying to post a fitness ticker that tracks how many miles i have run in the month of november (my goal is 60) but i can't for the life of me figure out how to add a ticker on here! i know it can be done, because many people have one! but i'm all out of idea's .
HELP!!

    I'm pretty sure you just go to the main page of the message boards and then go under settings.

    hahahah that is how i feel!! i created a ticker under ticker factory (which is where others get theirs) but i dont know how to link it!! =( stupid ticker!

    Sometime during the last year (you could do it when I started, now you can't) MFP stopped allowing outside tickers on signatures. They only allow you to use their weight loss ticker.

    Sorry.

    You can post it by copying the iMG tag from ticker factory and pasting in each individual post. I was doing that for a running group.

    i've tried that because i was trying to also join a group with that challenge and it seemed like everyone on there had that ticker but how do i add it? i copied and pasted and all i get is the code , i dont get the actual ticker come up. watch

    3DogsRunning is correct, you can no longer have a "Signature" where you could C&P your ticker info. The people who you see with it still, still have it embedded from last year when they were still able to have a signature.

    My bad - I told you the wrong code to copy. It's been awhile since I did it.

    Here are Corianders instructions from the running challenge.
    How to get tickers into posts:

    In general you will need to:

    (1) Configure your ticker at ticker factory:
    http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php?type=8
    (2) Copy paste the bbCode into posts.
    (3) Update your ticker and again copy paste the the bbcode into posts.


    For (1) follow the instructions at ticker factory.
    For (2) when you copy past the link make sure you include [ img\] and [ /img] string,
    see more detailed instructions at the end of (3) below.
    For (3) go back to the same link using the same browser you configured your ticker in (it remembers), i.e.:

    Go again to the link below (same browser as before):
    http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticker/ticker_designer.php?type=8

    You will see this:

    then enter information as follows:
    (A) the password that you set up when you configured the ticker
    (B) add miles as needed, then
    (C) select "Next"


    Then copy/paste the bbCode from here (the code inside the red oval - note the [ img] and [ /img] string and make sure to copy all text within the text box and paste it into the MFP post text box.

    I go to ticketfactoy.com make a ticker then copy the "bb" code and paste on your reply to the message board

    you'll have to update your ticker yourself and copy and paste each time you want to update your status on the post.

    They took customized tickers away about a year ago, because people had like 5-10 of them in their signature bar... in order to have a ticker like that you would need to copy and paste it each time you post in the boards (too much work if you ask me)
