I have baked with "Stevia in the Raw" and it comes out OK, but not fab. Make sure you flatten the cookies before baking. Also, I added some peanut butter to an oatmeal cookie recipe and it added some needed umph. I haven't tried adding applesauce to the mix, but I have heard that that helps too. :)
  • I don't have any stevia recipes per se, but I can recommend Stevia Baking Blend as a product to use for baking. I have used it and it's great. You can find lots of recipes on NuNaturals.com There may be other brands, but I use NuNaturals. Good luck! -toni

I use Now Foods brand Organic Stevia... It tastes like sugar, and you can use it in cooking and baking.
I'm a raw vegan now, but I used it in cooking before, and it works the same as sugar for baking, cooking, or for hot or cold drinks.
Not all brands of stevia taste good... I reccomend Now Foods, or Kal... Both taste good...

Stevia in the Raw is one of the worst tasting brands I've tried... Stevia can be used in cooking or baking...
The industrial food manufacturers put in a filler to make the stevia the same volume as sugar, thats why it sucks...

I didn't know that either... will have to try and find the baking Stevia. And thanks for the recipe site. Sold out of the "sugar but not calorie" free cookies at a fundraiser and always need new recipes for things like that :)

I bake everything with Stevia in the Raw, but my supply is about out and I haven't been able to find it anywhere except in little packets (I did find it online). I do not bake that often so I'm not consuming vast amounts of the product. The way I look at it is that just about everything can potentially be dangerous to our bodies in large quantities. I don't think using a cup or two of stevia in a recipe once or twice a month is going to hurt. Here is the link to the "in the raw" website. Recipes can be found there, too.

You can also grow your own stevia, and make it into a powder or liquid...

Dang, our Walmart hasn't had it in a long, long time. All they have are the little packs that you'd put in coffee or something. :(

You can make your own baking blend by using half sugar/half stevia in the raw.
