What kind of foods should I eat on my Marathon day so I can have enough fuel to get through the 26 miles?

I always like a cup of oatmeal and a banana-but eat whatever you normally would for a long run:smile:

I haven't run a full--just a half, but I wouldn't try anything new that day. Eat what you've eaten for training, otherwise you might have stomach problems on the course (don't ask me how I know that  ). I did keep gummy bears in my pocket and after the first hour I would eat one every 15-20 minutes. It really helped keep my energy up.

On race day, I always had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a red bull. What can your stomach handle? Maybe two?

I never drank gatorade during the race because for some reason I can't handle the dyes that are used in it. Only water. My favorite fuel is gu. The vanilla and the berry-both with caffeine. Every four miles.

Had coffee and toast with peanut butter for breakfast. Hydrate at every water station even if your not thirsty. I also used GU gels every hour. Good luck.
