I'm on a workout high!

Went for a 30 minute barefoot run in the woods with my dog. He loved sploshing in the muddy puddles and muddy paths. Love those autumn leaves all around.
Then used the warm up section of Insanity Pure Cardio to warm up for my bodyweight strength training: Push-ups, Let-me-ins, Chair Dips and Let-me-ups. Upper body feels heavy now just like my old lifting days.
Tonight I finish off with just over an hour of Yoga.
MFP says I will have burned an extra 967 calories. I doubt that but I'm happy I've thrown myself into training today. Rest day tomorrow. - just Yoga.
I've given myself a proper beasting today but I feel great.

Like barefoot barefoot? How thick are the calluses on your feet?
Yoga is a rest day? I must be doing it wrong. Hardest day of my week, and I don't exactly have easy weeks.

Yeah - like barefoot barefoot - so much easier in autumn with all the squishy leaves around. Barefoot running you land more gently and on the ball of your foot instead of heel striking. You just have to watch where you step in the woods.
You're probably trying too hard on your Yoga day DavPul - try doing it in the Squat Racks - much easier. J/K

Love love love barefoot running
I started out too much too fast the first time though, and couldn't even walk for a week. I agree, the leaves make it nice, but I have the luxury of a handmade trail, all layered with rocks and bits of wood, so itis lovely barefoot all the time.

I'm not a runner, I woke with intentions of going to Zumba for a class...I felt so good after breakfast, I went to an interval class then the Zumba class.
Having a great fitness day!! Love these days when healthy feels good!!0
