    Ugh it's driving my crazy that I can't remember but the one with the weird blue creature things where the Marine's are trying to kill them or whatever, worst description ever, but it was like a huge movie, it's like the go inside those little bed thngs and it brings them into the other world where they become one of the weird blue creature things and he meets a girl and like falls in love with her and spends the movie trying to stop the evil army guys from destroying them...and everyone was obsessed with it,..its wicked long and i thought it was so over-hyped an stupid and i cannot think of the name right now!

    That was Avatar.

    AHH Right! If I 'd read through the thread before I replied I would have realized lol I was just being lazy

    I didn't hate the first Twilight but I saw another twice and boy, I was just waiting for it to be over..just like Hangover 2
    Nor do I HATE the Harry Potter movies...I just do not enjoy them. at all. I don't do fictional magic-involving stories

    I want to defend Saw V though. Yes, it's the same crap from all the Saw movies but the idea where mistakes were made as you find out in the end...I liked.

    I'm really glad someone mentioned Avatar!!! Horrible, just horrible.

    I dislike some movies more than others but I absolutely HATE the movie "junior" with a pregnant Arnold Schwarzenegger. It just skeeves me the f out, and I never quite looked at him the same after that. :huh:

    I just could never attach a word like "HATE" to a movie. It's way too extreme.

    I agree, HATE is such an extreme word to use for a movie.

    But I did HATE Avatar. Am I the only one who realizes Avatar was just a Cowboy and Indian movie where the Indians win? HATED that movie!

    Actually, the plot was almost exactly like Ferngully.

    You are so right! Weird. That movie gave me so many nightmares as a kid!

    I'm surprised to see so much Avatar hate. I was the only one of my friends that couldn't stand it.

    I may get Interwebz-stoned for this but I don't give a damn: I didn't like Harry Potter at all, and I still don't.

    After seeing the first one, I desperately wanted my money back.

    I don't know if "hate" is too strong of a word, but these are the movies that I disliked so strongly that I couldn't finish them, or that upon completion, I could only wonder why I had wasted precious moments of my life watching them.

    I agree that The Notebook was a terrible movie! I'm a romance junkie, too... :l
    Knocked Up. Stupid. Pretty much anything else that could fit in a category with this movie. (Stupid bro movies that are basically a bunch of sex, alcohol, and fail scenes strung together and called a "story.")
    Torture porn.
    Twilight movies.
    You Don't Mess With the Zohan, and pretty much every other comedy that banks on the laughable queerness of a foreigner.
    Disney sequels.
    Tremors sequels.
    Up. (I just thought this was uninteresting to the extreme.)
    Polar Express. (See above.)

    I'm sure there are more! :-D I love a lot of movies too, though, so...

    Yeah, Up got weird halfway through. I enjoyed the first bit about the guy's backstory.

    I can't get into anything Depp has been in lately - Alice in Wonderland, Dark Shadows, PotC4.. - good acting and they look pretty, just bad bad *bad* writing.
    Shutter Island - loved the atmosphere, though
    Prince of Persia
    Memento - as much as I like Guy Pearce
    Sherlock Holmes
    Drive
    The Men Who Stare at Goats

    I don't think there has been any movie that I could say I "HATE". There have been movies that weren't my type of humor, movies I didn't quite understand, movies I thought had a bad plot, or movies that I thought were stupid but I've never gotten up to leave out of a theater!! I also do not think people are stupid for enjoying movies that I don't. I feel like some of you have some anger issues you need to work out lol. That being said, I don't understand the appeal of Borat but I can't say that I HATE it.

    The Men Who Stare At Goats! What was that movie even ABOUT?! Except for the scene with the car and the landmine, which was just unexpected and hilarious, I could not... get into that movie at all.
    I loved The Prince of Persia though. <3 It might just be a girl and Jake Gyllenhaal thing, though. ;)
