Best budget device to buy?

My lovely son has offered to buy me a HRM for christmas, but being a student he won't be able to afford much more than around £30. I don't use a gym, (can't afford it), so I either walk or follow some dumbbell workouts on YouTube. Ideally I would like something that would give me a personalised reading of my TDEE. Can anyone recommend anything please?

Thank you :flowerforyou:

Have a look at the timex T5G971. It will show calories burned. I assume it would do TDEE if you wore it for 24 hours. However, you would likely need to get electrode gel for the monitor strap.

Ask your son to get you a stopwatch. It's all you need and he'll save 25 pounds. Oh, he can also get you a pad and pencil to record your times.

If you have a smart phone he can get you an arm exercise band for it instead. Even better.

Thank you guys. After looking around on the web I think I have decided on the Omron Walking Style III Pedometer, seems to have some good reviews and it's only £14.52 on Amazon  I think seeing the pathetic step count is going to be a great motivation :ohwell:
