I have been doing so well losing weight and sticking to a healthy-ish diet. I have been feeling great and despite my lack of gym-going I've been happy. I started feeling sick the other day and since then my food choices have taken a turn for the worst. Today I ate 3 slices of pizza. I feel like crap (physically) and now that pizza just made me so angry at myself. I had this plan to go to the gym after work and now i really should go work off this pizza but i hate working out with a cold. I need some motivation please!!!

I know that I am only going to self-sabotage myself. I have lost a good amount of weight and poeple have been noticing and commenting and I am letting all that go to my head. How do you stop yourself from getting comfortable where you are and keep pushing forward?

well one thing that helps me not to sabotage myself is that i log everything im gonna eat the day before... and ONLY eat that. also if youre sick its fine to not work out (as many wonderful people told me yesterday). your body needs rest. but you def. should be eating healthy (as you know).. your body will recover better on whole foods.

weighing every day for me keeps me from getting comfortable ( iknow.. probably unhealthy but it works)

if youre feeling really bad just take some time off to recover and get back on track ASAP

Oh, I know that feeling...all too well. I make myself get up and work out, without sitting, contemplating what to do. I just do it. It's not easy, but you'll feel so much better when you're done and it helps to jumpstart your exercising routines again!
    Good luck!!

If you're sick you may just need some rest. Try going for a walk instead of trying to hit the gym hard to make up for the three slices of pizza. Get back on track with the eating now. One day above maintenance (within reason) isn't going to ruin your efforts. Get plenty of fluids in you too to help with the cold.

And contrary to above, I don't think you should weigh everyday. Sodium alone causes huge fluctuations in weight day to day. Weigh once a week if you need to, even less if you can.

Log it and move on! Don't be all black and white about it, just keep going. Every day is a new day and three slices of pizza is not the end of the world. Persist and persist and persist!

    Best of luck!
