So today I finally hit 299.5. I have been actively doing MFP since July. I actually started my weight loss THIS TIME at about 340-350 last year. It wasn't until I switched doctors and found out the cocktail of things out of balance in my body that was holding me back before I could break through and lose.
So since July I am 34.5lbs down (40 lbs for the year) and feeling great. I can do this! You can do this! Find something u love like I did with jazzercise, find a doc that listens to u, and put in the work!!!!!

Crazy proud of you. If I think about it logically, I think 'why does an even number matter, like the difference between 19 pounds and 20 pounds is only a pound. So why does the 20 feel so much better?" But it's not always logic, for many of us, it is much more emotional. So I see you cross that barrier and know that even with all the amazing loss you have already done this year, crossing that barrier was your most amazing loss...so far.
Glad you found what you love (for me bicycling) and a doctor who listens (for me it has been Dr. Chen) and I'm looking forward to hearing you cross more milestones!0 -

Blood pressure was high so I am temporarily on meds for that. Understand the hormones I am low in and what foods to eat to boost them. Keeping my doc informed on bp and sugar levels. Mostly just tracking cals, fats, protein, sodium, and sugar. I am not a saint but I make more informed choices now.0 -

i know how you feel!!!!! i started MFP at 313, the highest i've ever been. it scared me that i let myself get to the 300's. the whole time i was in the 200's i just kept thinking "at least i'm not in the 3's"... and then i was LOL. it was almost like a sigh of relief when i saw 299 on the scale. it's like you feel like you just cheated death LOL. crazy analogy. anyway that's amazing!!! congratulations and good job on the hard work!0
