No because they don't do anything. You can't jiggle your way thin.

Avoiding the obvious joke here...they will do nothing for weight loss or body composition. Just eat at a calorie deficit and try to get some exercise, even just walking and you will see progress.

my now 82 year old granny used to use one in the 1980's. I remember seeing her at a "womens" health club in the mall that had one. I think it was called gloria vanderbilts or something.

Wow thanks for the memories. I wouldn't think they wouldn't do much for the body. Maybe soothing or something.

do they still make those? I'm picturing some 1950's contraption that shakes my fat. I would try one just for fun but I've never seen one in real life. That's ok, I think my fat jiggles enough when I jog just not as fast.

I actually saw some in the mall the other day - one of those set ups they have in the middle of the walkways.....I did not look to see how much it was but people were supposed to pay for a session of a certain length of time - something like 10 minutes. It was not the version where you strap the belt round your butt - more of a total body vibrating thingy you stand on. I had to resist calling them out on their outlandish claims.
  • My chiropractor has something like that, but he had me use it to help with muscle soreness...

I have used the power plate and it actually is a pretty cool machine. It isnt supposed to melt off the fat or jiggle it away, but it does help w strength, balance and it is a good workout, i was sweating in a few minutes. And also after i had a good workout and had sore legs, when u put the sore muscle on the machine, it actually helped take the soreness away. A lot of athletic teams actually do use this particular machine in their training. They are super expense though, a few thousand dollars but they are worth giving a try if there is one available to u. My friend who i was training with sells them at his shop so thats how i got to use one. Pretty cool IMO :)

And i love all the other dirty minded individuals here lol my thought was the same at first ;0)

I've tried one for just a few minutes. It made my muscles sore! I could see how it'd be a good balance/muscle challenge.
