Drink beer, then go work out?

I am not 100% sure why, although I have somewhat of an idea. I just drank 9 beers today (premium heineken, 3.5%abv), and then after the Cowboys game, I just thought I would hit the gym to make up for all this gluttony ( also ate some chips/salsa, eggs/bacon/taters for breakfast, oh, and 3/4 of a pumpkin pie).
I went to the gym, and I swear I could go on forever! I busted up 1400 cals in 1.75 hours, and all i needed was water! Funny part was, that after I stopped, I felt like I could go for another 2 hours just like I was! Average heart rate was between 135-145 for the full hour, and 150-175 for the other 45 minutes.
So that begs the question: Does beer give one a better workout? Should I swig a few just before I sweat it up? :drinker:
p.s.- all other times, for that many calories, I would have to have eaten about 2-3 energy bars.
