Depends on the intensity of the run. I'll spit most of the time, but if I'm in the middle of a sprint and something is blocking my breathing (snot rocket, spit, whatever...) it's coming out and IDGAF where it goes (as long as it's not on me)

The gym staff don't appreciate this, especially when it's their job to clean the treadmills....

I have the same problem on my bike. Although its much worse as the speeds are higher. I can't swallow and when I spit sometimes it blows back on my self too. Casualties of war, it happens and I just ride on.
Funny... on my bike rides I find I get a dry mouth and have to suck a mint to get the juices flowing.

However, as a cyclist, it's cycle-snot that I have most trouble with. My poor cycling gloves find it hard to cope with it all at times
