I don't know if it's possible

Hi everyone, i'm feeling kinda down today.
I went cycling around town, went to see my personal trainer, got my *kitten* kicked with cardio and weights and then weighed myself this morning - i had put on weight.
OK.. i calorie counted and i was -11 calories of my goal, so it was ok, really!
I know why i put on weight. I am building muscle. But it feels like i am building muscle underneath all this flab. This morning when i woke up i felt chunky and heavy instead of empty and small (which is the feeling you get from dieting and doing cardio). And my clothes were tighter..
I also don't know what to do with myself. I am within a healthy range, my BMI is about 24, so i could go to within the center of the range (the WII recommends 22.3). My trainer and i set myself a goal to lose 7kg (which will put me in a 22 bmi range) , but i don't know if it's achievable.
At my wedding, i was at BMI 23 and i was exhausted and tired and worked out all the time. I can't imagine myself thinner, at 60kg. I was 60 kg when i was 18.
I don't know if my goal is realistic, i know that i am an attractive person with a normal shape, but do i have it within me to be 'HOT'? To be known as slender and 'slight' and 'skinny'?
Do any of you have a problem with setting a goal? Do you really think that you can look PERFECT? Do you know when to stop and think 'i'm good enough, thanks very much'?

Looking HOt doesnt mean looking skinny - to me skinny people look ill!
You need to be healthy...
stop obsessing about your appearance, you look pretty hot as you are! Concentrate on health, being healthy isnt obsessing about your weight.
You need to be comfortable and happy in your skin hun, then you will be hot!

dh, if you are looking for the perfect body...you will be waking up gloomy forever and a day! That just doesn't exist...our environment makes us change, life, day to day activities....If you are asking when is enough enough...I think you have arrived at that place! And, that's a good place to be! That doesn't mean stop exercising...continue to treat yourself good and all that. Be nice to you and take good care of yourself not just by exercising but also telling yourself that you are good enough, beautiful enough and look good enough for YOU!0

My advice:
write down on a piece of paper the reason (THE #1 REASON) why you want to lose weight.
Now...
now ask yourself are you happy RIGHT NOW?
Think...
If your answer to the first question was difficult to think of, and you can answer Yes to #2....then you my as well just stop dieting, because your going to jump back and forth and get no where, other than frustrated.
Life is just about being happy. We all don't have to look like models. Best part about dieting is there is no one right way. We all have goals- but usually revert to our old ways once those goals are reached. So if your reason for losing weight is rubbish, then just relax. Eat healthy and enjoy yourself!
but if you are not happy, and you have a reason to lose weight, then look deeper into the foods your eatin'.
If your under your calories, and your coming in where you should be, and working as hard as you- say the weight will come off. Stress is the worst thing you can have while dieting. Find ways to make yourself happy, because it will translate to the scale!!!
BOTTOM LINE....don't let yourself lose focus of why you want to lose weight. Everytime I even think about straying from my diet, I whip out my wallet and read why I want to lose weight. There is no greater feeling then waking up the next morning knowing you were disciplined enough to stick to your plan.

Hey,
Thanks for that. You're right. I am happy 90% of the time, there are some cute dresses that are a little bit too tight, but that just requires a bit of discipline i guess. There is no real reason for me to lose weight after the wedding and because i'm rather happy (besides the occasional down day), i don't force myself to stick to the diet.
Oh dear, i don't know where to go with this. I guess i'll do what i've been doing, trudge on, trying to be disciplined and not overeat, and continue to work on that true happiness within myself.....0
