Hi everyone,

I just joined last week after a friend recommended the site. I'm trying to lose about 10 pounds. I've found out that most of the food I eat isn't half as bad as I first thought although starting on my birthday weekend probably wasn't the best idea. Still, the only way is up (or preferably down).

    Welcome to MFP! I hope you enjoy your journey to better health, sounds like you're starting on the right track already :) You've got some great motivation, so stay consistent and be patient and you will be there in no time :flowerforyou:

    First of all Happy Birthday :) And 10 pounds is a great goal!! My friend too also recently suggested this site and I started about 3 weeks ago and have lost over 7 pounds. I hope you find success and just get a better understanding about what foods you are taking in. That's what I've gotten from this site and it's been awesome! Congratulations and best of luck!

    Also, what I've found is that when you realize you aren't actually eating too bad but still your weight doesn't budge go through the exercise database and find activies that seem fun or that you can do when you have time here and there. Those calories burned can add up quick even if it's 15 minutes in the morning or at night!
