    Lovely. Been there & hiked it. Newfoundland is an amazing place that everyone in Canada should be required to visit.

    Beautiful pics! I live in Iowa. No scenery like that around here! My mom, who has since passed away was born and raised in Newfoundland. I've seen a few pictures, but now am really convinced that I need to visit. My relatives in Canada frequently visit Newfoundland and say that the friendliest people live there. Thanks for posting the pics!

    Yep. I live in Sarasota Florida. I really need to fix that photo of the Armadillo. It cut off it's poor head! Oops. That preserve is down in Venice which is about a 1/2 hour from where I live. I love the water photos though. I wish I had those sort of shots. I can do beach photos but hiking on sand is just not fun.

    Jealous! I had no idea Armadillos were in Florida for some reason....I totally would have been watching for them. Hikes are great. I wish I realized it sooner, you can see some pretty beautiful things. My favorite part this summer is when I got to a part of a hike I've never been on before and found myself completely surrounded by honey bees. At first it made me think "Dear lord I shoulda brought advil" but you quickly realize you can gently shove them out of the way (which you literally had to if you wanted to move) without worrying. Then I got to the next field and there were thousands of beautiful flowers...when you looked initially...until you realized the flowers were butterflies XD
