Passed that 15 pound mark

So today I weighed in at 227.6, that puts me past the 15 pounds lost!!! I'm really happy and proud of myself, it's big because this is the first weight loss journey that I have taken that is actually working. I'm changing my lifestyle and it is paying off.

What I would like is to hear from people who have gone the long haul and lost a significant amount of weight. I would like to know some tips about how to stay on course and keep losing. Any advise would be awesome

Thanks all!!

Congrats!! I know what you mean about it being a big deal even though it was "only" 15lbs lol. For me it was the first 10 lbs and as of this past week, I am down a total of 25+ lbs. Talk about a shocker. the last time I lost that much weight, I gave birth, lol.

Just remember that if you could lose 15 lbs this "easily" (ha ha) then you can lose another 15 lbs... And another, etc. it is much easier to look at it in small goals than think of it like you have 60 or 100 lbs to lose, etc.

congrats!! My advice to keep it going and off is not to be terribly strict with yourself and slowly allow yourself slowly to eat some of the things that you like. If your worried about overdoing it just buy it in small amounts. I feel that measuring and having bits of this and that keeps me from saying screw this diet and go back to my old ways. I don't know what your doing for workouts but find something that you love and can see yourself doing on a regular basis if you are not already doing it.

I been doing zumba for the majority of this journey and don't think I would have gotten this far if I didn't find the exercise that I love.
