Best Juicer?

Ive been wanting to get a juicer for a while, but there are sooo many options out there. Ive heard a lot of complaints that some juicers dont actually produce a lot of juice and leave too much pulp etc. If you own a juicer what brand is it and what do you love and what do you wish you could change about it?

I am buying " the ninja" blender this weekend. I know its not a juicer but it supposedly blends everything completely so there is no waste and i get all the vitamins. I hope its true. I have been making smoothies in a little single serving blender and i just loved that. Fresh and homemade is the way to go! :drinker:0

I have a small blender I make fruit smoothies with, but will that Ninja blend veggies? Hmmm...0 -

I have one of the Ninja blenders (the one that comes with a pitcher and a mini bowl too). It's pretty serious...I use it to blend soups and I bet it would blend veggies just fine (it's a beast with ice). You wouldn't get the juice consistency without straining it but I prefer to keep the fiber and stuff that's in the fruits & veggies.0

I was gonna go with Barry Bonds, but yours is better. :laugh:0 -
I have been using the Jack LaLanne juicer purchased at WalMart for $99 and love it!0

I second the Jack LaLanne from walmart. Can't beat the price and it works amazing!0

i got the one at GNC cause it was on sale and only $40 and i think it gets a decent amount of juice out of the fruits i put into it. it is really strong too.0

I have the ninja blender, and it's amazing... I can make mixed drinks all night and it doesn't flinch, whereas the last time I had a party involving tequila with my old blender, it died 2 hours in0

I forgot to say my likes and dislikes. I love the fact that the juicer gives you juice and not mush. I dislike how sometimes when the juice comes out the spout it over-shoots the cup with a couple drops. The machine is very powerful. My fav juice consists of apples, carrots, orange, kale and ginger.0

I've been wanting the VitaMix or BlendTec blenders, but at $500... I'm hoping maybe I'll get one for Christmas.
I saw the infomercial on the Ninja that was handling whole fruits & veggies. What did they call it? Complete juicing? I want to keep all of the fiber, vitamins, etc., so that may be a cheaper alternative. I'd like to hear a lot of reviews because the VitaMix & BlendTec both have outstanding reviews, and the machines seem to last forever!0 -

Ive heard a lot of good stuff about those VitaMix ones...didnt know they came with a $500 price tag though. I just might have to do some research on either the Jack LaLane or the Ninja one...Thanks everyone!!!0

The Vitamix or Blendtec will give you the best blender. But, to your original question, they are blenders. If you want to truly juice then you need to strain the juice out with cheesecloth. That gets old real quick.
Top juicers are not just high priced due to build quality but also to how well they preserve the nutrients and how efficiently they extract the juice from the pulp. The absolute best and most expensive juicer, ironically, is the Norwalk. Most people though find them a pain to use. The next best would be a Super Angel juicer. A budget compromise would be something like a Champion.
Personally, I use a Vitamix instead of a juicer since for most things the pulp is helpful for the fiber and to keep me full. I use it everyday and it is well worth the price.0 -

Note: A little ginger goes a long way. I had to learn that the hard way. LOL!!0 -
