Best Calorie Counting Watches?

Hi there, I am hitting a bit of a fitness rut, I do 8 hrs cardio a week, most in classes and I know I am not working as hard as I was (season change, cold, apathy) Really want one of these snazzy watches that tell me actual burn rather than just time/activity input on mfp so i can keep track and up my game.

Anyone have recommendations or can point me in direction of existing thread on same topic?

Thanks :-)

    Polar FT4 works for me.

Me too! Swear by it. Mine was about £50 on Amazon - worth every penny.

Thanks guys, how funny I had JUST narrowed it down to this one from what I could find on Amazon. How accurate do you all find it?

Hard to say, really - but I'd argue that as you can programme in your gender, height, weight and age into the PT4 then it gives a decent enough reading (there's a school of thought that says that HRMs are 75% accurate). I think that as long as you bear that in mind, you're golden!

Interesting topic, I was thinking about getting one too and almost decided for the POLAR FT7F.
    Does anybody use that one?

Ditto! Finding it really accurate for me. It's remained consistent with what I normally expect to lose during a workout. I've also had the Polar RS something or other and never had any problems with that until someone went and took my chest strap and monitor :(

I also consistently change the weight settings each week when I weigh-in to reflect any changes so hoping that also helps keep it accurate. I only wear it during a workout where I mean to be working out. Any other calories I burn (walking the dog, cleaning, etc.) I don't log as I just consider those bonus calorie burns. My thought process is that if I underestimate the calories I burn and overestimate the calories I eat considering there can always be a little bit of miscalculation or generalization, then I'm hoping I should be breaking even or have a slight deficit so I'm not fooling my body. Hope that helps!
