We moved all our investments into cash two weeks ago. No interest, but there wasn't any interest to speak of on the stocks and bonds, either.

Nevermind that fact that it has steadily risen over the last 4 years after a terrible plumet, reaching near record highs.
  • People's response on the reason the Dow dropped 300 points need an economics lesson or at least education that goes beyond the 9th grade. IJS!

    I'm blaming unlimited quantitative easing.

If not that, then I'm sure I can find a conspiracy theory for it.

I was leaning more to my first answer...

...but if that isn't it, yours is as good a starting point as any other theory.
  • Wonderful.....just when my portfolio was gaining life again it will plummet. Oh well would have just gone to taxes so I could support freeloaders.

because of QE 1, 2, 3 to infinity.

equity markets are merely a reflection of worldwide quantitative easing. nothing more.

Don't worry, they'll close the market if they think it's headed for another 1920's style crash.

I think the problem is that people confuse economics with politics, further encouraging statism and harming the economy, especially consumers.
