I've noticed that i tend to want to eat more when I am cold...is it just me? :ohwell:

Me too. Having a warm drink helps me. Like green tea or sugar free apple cider.0

Yes! I just made a Swiss Miss diet hot chocolate (25 calories)...plus a bowl of hot air popcorn!0

Nope certainly not. I found that as soon as the weather got cold, I started craving all of the carb heavy soups and casseroles. I just have to remind myself that I am not an animal the hibernates therfore I do NOT need to pack on the extra fat to last the whole winter. :laugh:0

Nope, not just you. I get the exact same way! It's freezing in our office, so DAILY I'm fighting the urge to snack!0

This may sound crazy, but i actually drink warm water.. no calories and it curbs the cravings.. my mom used to do it in the winter when she had to come off of coffee for awhile.. now thats all she does! So, i tried it since it started getting cold, and it does help!!0

The body burns more calories when it is cold, so it makes sense that it triggers the hunger to refuel.0

I am the opposite. Take today for example. I lost my heat from the brand new furnace that was put in and it was cold in here! I didn't feel hungry all morning and finally made myself eat at 2pm.0

maybe you equate food with warmth and comfort. maybe what you really need is a hug0

It's so funny that you say that OP, it's spring here in Aus and we've had quite a few very warm days and I have felt my appetite disappearing! Plus I am craving fruits!0

When the weather gets cold I tend to gravitate to warm comfort foods - soups, mac n cheese, lasagna, hot chocolate, lattes, cider....yum!!!!0

Happens to me too. Half of my water intake ususally comes from hot green tea that I drink throughout the day to stay warm.0
