I've been on a low carb diet (lower glycemic/no refined carbs) on and off for about a month (doctor's orders, insulin resistance from PCOS). I was on it for about 2 weeks, went off for vacation, and then got back to it on Saturday. I've been eating around 1,300 calories a day (I've done this level before and it worked for weight loss), 100 or under g of carbs, and working out every day. I had the rigor of my workouts back for a few days, but today I hit a wall. I'm exhausted. I drank a lot of water, didn't workout today, and my carbs were about 85 g. I just had a bit of oatmeal in hopes of feeling better. But, in this case, would you recommend slightly increasing my carbs or calories to feel better?

I am currently doing a low GI diet as well. When exhausted I add some carbs in. I just feel if any diet leaves makes you exhausted you should just listen to your body. I felt a wave of exhaustion the other day after a lunch time run, and I had a glass of low fat milk and a spoon full of Peanut butter. Not the best option, but my only choice of food in the company kitchen to get me over the tough spot. Worked like a dream, I felt better right away.0
