netflix FORKS OVER KNIVES and check out their website and or get the book. the book has soooo many meat free meals... it's actually totally plant based, but as the chef, you can always tweak things to your taste!

Whatever your reason, good for you! Don't worry about the protein thing. The MFP food log has proven I get plenty of protein with no meat AND no dairy, so you are ok if you're eating lots of healthy foods.
Check out www.drfuhrman.com for recipes and ways to eat without meat.
Search the web using "eat to live recipes" and you'll find tons of non-meat meals.
My favorite is www.vegetariantimes.com with plenty of recipe ideas and a very good search engine.
    Good luck on your journey!

What meal are you looking for ideas for? Are you looking for quick prepare ideas or are you looking to actually prepare and cook? I have been a vegetarian since 1988 so i could point you in a few directions. There have been some good suggestions here, however. I made a lentil soup and tvp loaf the other days... Was pretty good. Can of lentil soup, drain broth from beans. Add 1 cup of tvp to broth and let it absorb. Add 1/4 cup dried cranberries (or other dried fruit of choice) could also add crushed nuts of any variety and a dash of cinnamon. Once tvp absorbed all the stock put in greased loaf pan, cover with aluminum and cook until firm, about 30-40 minutes at 375. Yu could use an egg white to help hold the mixture together and i am going to do that the next time i make it.
