Hiya,
I joined a couple of weeks ago now, and I have settled into using the site well. I am a keen runner trying to decrease my weight to improve not only my running time/technique but to increase my confidence in life also -
I would love to make friends with other dieting runners to share and gain advice and support?
Please add me if this applies to you! I'm very friendly xx

Hi There,
I'm new to MFP, and new to running too. I am currently learning to run by following the C25K interval training program. I am addicted! LOL. I have set a goal for myself to run a 5K race in the first half of 2013 and train to do a 10K run in the second half.
I'm trying to lose a bit of weight to get to a healthier body weight and increase my energy levels day to day.
It's been about 2 weeks since I've started to get active again - walking/jogging on my treadmill. I already notice that some of my pants are looser, and I'm definitely able to run a bit longer than I used to!
Look forward to getting to know you! Feel free to add me if you'd like. :-)0 -
Hi, im a newbie too, quite into running myself! Currently hoping to possible take part in a 5k run next year also!

Feel free to add me... I got back into running this year and am so glad I did... ran the Adirondack Ragnar Relay in September, the Army Ten Miler and am doing a thanksgiving run!0

I started running after high school about 30 years ago, 6-7 min. miler, slowed down after marriage and kids... but never stopped. Getting back into making it a regular habit, at least 3x a week. Only 1/2 as fast as I used to be... and twice the size.0

I've been doing the C25K program, but haven't had motivation in a month or so. I could use some extra friends to keep me pumped. Add me0

Feel free to add me....until about 2.5 years ago I was not a runner....now I run, and run, and run. I just finished a marathon (more of a bucket list thing) and I'm signed up for a few halfs in the next few months....and I'm not fast, but I'm doing this for me, my health and my mental well being. I've also discovered mudruns....and love 'em!!0

Hiya,
I would love to make friends with other dieting runners to share and gain advice and support?
I love jogging! It really clears my head and opens up my mind. I dont jog to get some where, as someone in another comment stated as to why they actually quit jogging. I jog as a stress reliever. I originally started jogging to lose weight - which did happen. I lost the weight needed and now i have been running for several years and I do it strictly because 1. its habit now and 2. i need to relieve stress and open my mind! That's where i go, when i jog!!! I go into my own little world and my own little thoughts and nevermind where i am going!! The ending result is how i feel and thats usually me feeling great!0 -
I've been on here for a few months, but usually just to track. I've been running for a little over a year, give or take a few months for illnesses. I'm training for my first 10K, and looking to do a half marathon next fall. Feel free to add me.0
