Perhaps I should have written, "That is an interesting quotation; but it always makes me uncomfortable when people quote the best from essentially bad people."

when my grandfather was around 10 years old growing up in Dearborn, Michigan he was hitchhiking one day and HENRY FORD himself picked in up in his towncar and they had a conversation... what my grandfather remembered from the conversation was that enven though he was such a rich man he still loved it when his wife repaired the holes in his socks...

    true story LOL.

Let's see if there are any other racist anti-Semites we can quote here, too.

Do you have any Hugo Boss garments in your closet? He was a member of the Nazi party and got rich making SS uniforms.

Mostly I go about my business starkers. But when it's especially cold out like today I wear kilts and/or togas.

I'm not sure if this is where Ford got it from or not, but this poem always reminds me of it:

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don't,
If you like to win, but you think you can't
It is almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are
You've got to think high to rise,
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

    Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!

I didn't think that Huxley was a racist or anti-Semite. I thought he was more of a social satirist and pacifist. Not that they are exclusive, but he seems to focus elsewhere.
