A food tracking idea!

Today I found that using my food tracker as a meal planner, and filling it out in the morning with what I plan to eat has helped me alot! I can always change it if anything doesn't go as planned. This is easier for me personally because I am a planner, and this really makes a difference for me. Just an idea for any of you who may feel it might help you! Good luck! :)

I don't do that most days, but I do it when I am going out for dinner or to a party and have some idea of potential foods that will be there. It gives me an idea about how much I can eat and what I should avoid to stay within my goals.

    It's very helpful.

I like to do this too. Sometimes even the night before! =)

I do that too, sometimes a few days ahead, it keeps me on track and I can plan around different meals, make healthier choices or substitutes. If I just ate and then logged I would go over my calories by lunchtime lol!

Aye, normally I pre-plan breakfast and lunch and sometimes I will also play with dinner when I have less calories but normally I have about 800 to kill so I don't normally worry about dinner unless I'm going out.

i always log my food a day in advance... keeps me from eating more and gives me structure and a plan
  • I do this sometimes as well--it works great when you have a busy schedule.

I sort of do this. I usually plan breakfast, lunch and snacks, but dinner is often left up to my hubby. So I'll pre-log my first two meals and snacks for the day, then let him know if we can have something a little more calorie dense or if it's a lighter day. It works for me.

I generally pre-log breakfast and lunch and that helps me decide whether dinner's going to be pasta or fish and salad. It really is a good idea. Works in reverse as well, e.g. if I know we're having the same dinner again tomorrow I know how much I can eat at breakfast and lunch. For me planning is all important.

I do this, too. It really helps me to meet my macros and to stay on point.

I don't see why everyone doesn't do this. Do you like to be surprised at the end of the day or something?
