Hi, I am new to MyFitnesspal and trying to get an understanding of how this Food Diary works out. So far so good but I believe I eat less than what the calories are telling me I should eat so not sure about that overall. I use to do weight Watchers so I usually write out my food, this I find is actually pretty cool. Its actually like Face Book, but does this have a phone app for Blackberry? I am here to get motivated and gain a better knowledge of how and what to eat since this breaks out the calories, Protein and fat. Going to start my walking today and get a move on. I can't wait to loose 45lbs!!!!!!

  • Hi everybody- I have an initial goal to lose 10 pounds by my 5 yr. anniversary which is April 30th ...I am also trying to lose alot of weight like 93 pounds to be in my healthy weight range..i have put it on in the last few years since my daughter was born in '05. I also want to have another child, but being this heavy i am too scared..I had high blood pressure with my first pregnancy n i dont want to b sick or deliver a preemie again....Please write back as i need snack ideas n food recipes to follow... No fish please or seafood....yuck...i need motivation!!! i have alot of time during the day and i find myself eating quite salty and/ or sugary foods.....Please help!

    Congrats on joining! Good luck on your adventure! I tried WW for a while too--b/c my parents were doing it. I prefer this b/c it is FREE and it gives you all the food details, not just the point value. You know exactly what you are eating.
  • exactly- that is y i love it..i mean i did horrible at breakfast but i found everything i ate in here....the only question is?... i sometimes eat red potatoes baked for dinner with fat free sour cream n the calories dont seem like they match in here....any suggestions?.
