Kale Smoothie!

A lovely way to start the day...

1 cup of kale with the stems removed
about a half cup of any other green leafy if you want..I usually toss some spinach in also
1/2 cup 0% fage greek yogurt
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk (almond milk is DELICIOUS and extremely low in calories if you get it unsweetened)
1 cup of some fruit- I usually use some type of berry
1/2 banana
5 almonds
1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
handful of ice

Blenderize and drink immediately to get the maximum benefit


Its a really easy way to get in your dark green vegetables, while enjoying the sweet taste from the fruits. The flaxseed will help regulate your bowels. Enjoy :)

    This smoothie was delicious! I need a little extra protein because I'm doing The New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women program, so I added a scoop of vanilla whey protein powder. Plus I didn't have to use ice because I used half a frozen banana and frozen strawberries. So good!

    To switch it up, you can use half a cup of pumpkin puree (unsweetened). More goodness, less carbs.
