i just walked up two stairs now i need to log that

yes everything you do burns calories but why log ever time you get up to let the dog outside or you walk upstairs to use the bathroom? i only log when i put on my workout cloths and purposely go out of my way to burn the extra. oh wait i just typed this topic i have to log that!

    LOL. Thanks for the smile. I agree with you I only log, if I have put my workout clothes and tennis shoes on and did my planned workout.

  • When I first joined MFP, I realized that I could log "Cooking/food preparation" which is what I do 8 hours and 5 days a week. It's true that you do burn a lot of calories doing this, but I don't log in my job each day because MFP already puts that into consideration when it configures your daily calories and I think people forget that.
    I also see people log in hours they walked around shopping. I usually don't bother with that either. Shopping and working are things I did when I was heavier so I don't really see how logging them in now makes a difference.
