I'm at home right now and I am a bit over my calories at the moment. I want to eat 2 or 3 square slices of pizza when it comes, but not be more than 200calories over my daily limit. So, my question is as I stated in the subject: Ways to burn off 651 (or 600-700) calories quickly without a machine? Quickly for me = 1-2hrs. Preferably 1 - 1 1/2. Thank you!

Vigorous Calisthenics I am usually good for 300 cal when I do a half hr.0
-
Burpees
...always get my heart racing and burns killer calories0 -
Jumping rope, jumping jacks, jog around your house, youtube Billy Blanks Tae Bo or other online workouts.0
-
Zumba with tons of effort. Like jumping as high as possible and really tearing it up0
-
Put on some music and just DANCE YOUR BUTT OFF!0

Step-ups or running up stairs burns calories quickly. Maybe that would work for you? I guess I'd suggest going to Exercise -> Database and seeing what stuff on there interests you and then calculate how much you'd have to do at your weight to burn 651 calories.0

I don't have the answer to the calorie question but a thought next time on the pizza. I love Pizza Hut and wanted pizza one night.. I knew I would eat 3 pieces and I didn't want to exercise for it. I looked on their webisite and picked the healtiest pizza they had and was able to eat the three pieces I wanted without having to do extra exercise for it. It boils down to what do u want or not want the worse. For me I got pizza hut pizza, yes it didn't have thick crust but a thin crust and yes it had pepperoni like I like0

Go for a 4-6 mile run
This. Sprint a portion of it.0 -
These are some awesome ideas! I love Zumba. I almost forgot to mention, I weight 165lbs (since it changes the calories burned amount as well. I usually burn about 400 with Zumba so I guess I could do that for 1 1/2 hrs instead of my usual hr of time. I love to dance! lol. I'm not sure what qualifies as Vigorous Calisthenics? I would run, but I have a dreadful fear of running in public and one of my goals is to be able to run in public and eventually run a 5k. xo Thank you for all of the ideas!0

A one hr run/jog will burn that much give or take. Probably more because of your weight.
nvm the run, didn't read the whole thread.0 -
I would go with your first answer. Running at a 10 - 12 minute mile pace for an hour will burn 600 calories. Run at a faster pace and you could burn your desired 600 in less than an hour. Go to the log exercise feature on MFP and you can enter your pace and time and it will tell you what you've burned. Then you'll know exactly how long to run. Good luck. I just ran 5 miles and just ate some cookie pie, so I should probably go burn some more calories.0

Your calories dont reset every 24 hours just because MFP says so... its all about calories out versus calories in, yes, but its also over time.. take a look over the last few days, or the last week.. if you are over today, spread it out over the next few days. If you are going to be over my 700 today, make sure you are under by 150 the next 7.. so it averages out, and you still have a few to spare!
Dont stress your body, its not good for it, just like binge eating isnt. :drinker:0 -

If you arent using a HRM... then when you log your exercise on MFP.. deduct about 25-50% because MFP grossly overestimates your calories.0 -

Bingo. Workout but don't stress over 1 night but look at where you stand week wise.0 -
I kept checking in but was doing homework so I couldnt reply much! Thank you for all the wonderful ideas. It is smart to look at it for the week, but I tend to do better (and it makes me exercise!) when I account myself daily. It just works better for me because, well I'm lazy and I also have very low energy levels because I'm sick often.0

I burn 700 cals approx when I run for a hour0

I'm a firm believer in a win/win situation. I choose to do my "work outs" at my parent's yard. Raking, etc. This has been especially useful after Hurricane Sandy hit our area, lots of tree damage. I burn calories, they get their yard clean. (They're elderly, and need the help).
I also will "work out" by cleaning the house. I mean a MAJOR cleaning! Moving furniture, and appliances to vacuum and wash floors. Washing windows, and baseboards, light fixtures, etc. It can take all day, but in the end, the house sparkles like new.
A few years ago, I worked at a horse barn in exchange for riding privileges. I'd do some barn chores and ride. Major calorie burn!
For me, it feels better to DO something rather than to go to a gym, or walk in place on a treadmill.
Good luck to you!! :flowerforyou:0 -

It's going to have to be longer than that! I burn about 450 cals running 6 miles.0 -
Anything that has you in constant movement and out of breath of about an hour like running or jumprope. Anything less taxing isn't going to do it.0
