I have heard REALLY geat things about insanity, and I would love to try it myself, but it's expensive. ...for me at least. But, no, start now if you can! No need to lose weight first at all---go for it!! Good Luck!

Just started it recently. My roomie and I are doing it and him and I are at totally different physical fitness levels and it is kicking both of our butts. I'm enjoying it so far.

    I am on day 5 I think...
I dont really think it matters where you are physically, cause shaun t always says, always keep your form, and do it at your own pace.. If you need a break, take one!
So I just reckon the more fit a person is, the less breaks they take, and they go faster then those who are unfit!

I did a round of insanity and p90x combined, did a total of 2 rounds I have lost so many inches and 11lbs. All beachbody products are a good investment.

Just got this last week. After looking through the different DVD's, I've decided to wait a few months before starting. It looks really really tough. Kind of makes the 30DS look like a warmup. My wife decided to try the fitness test this morning. She said she nearly passed out twice and almost threw up before it was over and she is fitter than I am :grumble:

Edit - One way to try before you buy - go on YouTube and have a look. See what you think

This is amazing! A friend gave me copy of the first DVD, at first I couldn't even make through the warm-up! Like one user said before it doesn't matter where you are physically because you do it at your own pace. I am still only using that one dvd I have and repeating the workouts. I wont lie its hard especially if you are overweight like me, but it really gets your heart rate going and I have noticed a difference in my body.

Im on day 4 or 5, its' great, but hard! My muscles are sore and Im walking like i've had an accident, but in a sick way it's enjoyable! You will end up in a pool of sweat and you will know you've worked out....but you will feel great knowing that you're doing it! DIG DEEP!!!

I have two weeks left to go in Insanity! (And, will be starting another round in early December.) I really love this program! I have about 20 pounds to lose right now, and as others have said, you can definitely modify or take breaks as needed. My strength, endurance, and flexibility have improved a TON. I have lost a LOT of inches. As with any program, the key is your nutrition. I highly recommend following the nutrition guide that is inclulded with the program.

    Good luck! :-)

I'm on day 3! I did the fitness test and I could barley make it through that but as Shaun T says, "DIP DEEP". While I did Days 1 and 2 I wanted to give up because it's that voice in your head that tells you to keep going. It doesn't matter if you aren't going as fast and hard as the people on the screen. You go at your pace. It makes me feel better seeing that in the video, the guys and gals have to stop and rest too! I tell myself to keep going because if I stop, I'll regret it later. After working out, I feel so much better about myself.
  • Im an insanity graduate! Its what i used to kick start my weight loss. I lost 20 pounds during it and then 10 more on my own. I am currently maintaining. i HIGHLYYY recommend it if your a disciplined person who WANTS to lose weight. You need to be able to push that play button EVERYDAY! or it wont get any easier. If you know yourself and you are the type to skip days, then dont waste your money. But if your going to be dedicated..you will nottt regret it!

I'm in love with it! I've lost no weight and I'm on week five but I've lost 3 inches so far from hips and Thighs. most people don't lose a whole lot in the beginning and see the best results in month 2 so you don't want to get it unless you're willing to throw out the scale and dive in head first. Maybe I'll post start and month one results tonight!
  • I am doing it and am overweight. I really like it because it varies the workout every day. I must admit that it is harder for me to do because I am overweight, so I modify some of the moves. You can find a lot of modification suggestions on youtube. I would recommend the workouts, but go slowly at first.

If you need a motivational buddy feel free to add me!
  • You SHED the inches really fast if you do it daily and eat right, I didn't lose that much in lbs but I built tons of muscle and shed inches, and I was totally okay with that :)

I'm nearly finished with Insanity and I absolutely recommend it. If you can stick with it for 63 days, as well as stick wtih the recommended macros, you will see and feel a difference in your body for sure.

I have lost 13 lbs and almost 20 inches in the past 6 weeks, as well as 2 pants sizes. I am seeing my abs too, which is exciting. If you want a seriously challenging program, Insanity might be your best bet. But yes, it is tough as hell. Well worth the investment if you can at all afford it. I bought mine on ebay for $40, which is dirt cheap. Good luck!
