Hi, I'm Chris and I've gone from 257 pounds to 209. The profile pic is of me at 233 pounds, and I probably won't take one again until ideal weight is reached. So far I've been a bit of a rogue, but I find that I need the accountability of like-minded community to get me to where I need to be...and I'll be cheering on your successes as well. Feel free to add me as a friend.

Boy, you're on the right track. You've already lost...and you're going for more. Good for you! And...you're really doing this at the right time, that is, while you're young. It gets tougher as you get older...as I'm finding out. Adding friends is the way to go. If you're still looking for a few friends, and don't mind adding one of the older generation, just add me.
  • Struggling with a day to day exercise plan that I can stick to. I recently was Blessed with a job (23 months of waiting for God to show me His plan!) I am away from home 11 1/2 hours a day. I love using the Elliptical. My dilemma is balancing devotion time, work, sleep and evening responsibilities. My biggest worry is not getting enough sleep.

Hi! Congrats on your new job. You have a lot on your plate. Kudos for your enthusisam. Perhaps you could listen to the Word/teaching on tape or at least Christian music on your phone/tape player while on the elliptical. Sleep is important . . . for your health, efficiency at work as well as losing weight; so you are smart to give it consideration. Mold your schedule around you. For me, getting up early was easier than exercising and studying at night; plus, it seemed to give me a charge all day. The accountablility thing really helps me (especially logging). If you have a phone that you can ad an app, the myfitnesspal is a great app that allows you to log wherever you are at the time and syncs it with your online page. Blessings!
  • Thank you for the encouragement! Just what I needed...
