I don't understand why the database doesn't understand what you mean by bootcamp or body blast classes- pretty much work the same.. do you have to pick out each exercise you've done to measure out the calories or what..? It's frustrating trying to track calorie intake if you can't also track what you've burned!

Invest in a heart rate monitor. You will get more accurate results anyways.0

Why not just put it under aerobics?0

Or figure out your TDEE and eat that instead and don't track exercise. That's what I do. Much easier.0

This! The database is not accurate by any means. A HRM is wonderful! My calorie burns aren't anywhere close to what the database would give me.0 -
You can create you own exercises that you don't find in the database. Go the "exercise" tab then click on "my exercises" & "create exercise".0

I agree with the heart rate monitor. Also, classes vary greatly every time- all instructors are different, and the effort you put into the class varies each time as well. A heart rate monitor will give you a fairly accurate read on your expenditure. You could always take your pulse every minute or so and record that- but if you can do that, you probably aren't participating properly in the class. An okay HRM runs anywhere from $30 up. Anything cheaper might not be dependable, but if you're in this for the long run, a small investment in a good HRM is necessary.0
