I can't wait to go buy a new pair of pants

I have been on this journey since the beginning of 2012. I am proud to say I have lost 25 lbs. The beginning was very slow. I have actually lost 12 of those pounds in the last month. But, I am still waiting for the day when I can go buy the next size down. I know I am overweight, and not just by a little. I thought by now I would be able to fit the next size down. I will admit my current jeans are too big. The sag a lot and I am constantly yanking on them to keep them up. And yet, I am unable to fit the next size down.
I can't wait!! When, oh when, will that day finally get here??

You will get there. Just think, the longer it takes the more money you can save and then you can treat yourself to a nicer pair of jeans! lol0

As the sizes get smaller there is less of a difference between them, so you will move down a size with less weight loss. At least that is what I am finding. Moving from a 14 to a 12 took a large amount of weight loss, 12 down to an 8 now has taken much less.0

Have you thought about trying various cuts of the pants? I have found that I am curvy, and the cut is definitely what helps. Good luck!0

Hang in there! It took me FOREVER (I think 30 lbs or so) before I could solidly fit a size 18 from a size 20. Still took another solid 20-25 before I could wear 16s.
I love buying clothes, so as soon as I realize a size is getting too loose for me, I buy one pair (on sale) in the next size down, and just focus on getting into them comfortably0 -
If your pants are really loose, I bet you're really close. Hang in there!0

Keep up the good work. You'll get down a size in no time!!!
I wear my belt on the last hole and refuse to buy new jeans... they are so saggy in the butt & thighs but I won't buy or try on new pants just in case I gain some back.0 -
LOL, I lost 20 lbs and my pants still fit, then all the sudden at 25, boom, everything was too big. But still, for another 5 lbs I was in a weird in-between where my pants were falling down, but my butt still couldn't quite squeeze into the seats of the next size down. Then one day it did.0

This gives me hope! Thanks.
I know it will happen and I am really looking forward to it.0
