Help...need to tone/lose fat from lower gut

A few years ago, I needed to have a surgery that was similar to a c-section cut in my lower stomach area. No matter how much I try, I can't seem to tone that area. It stinks because I am slender above that area and then I have this little "pouch" that sticks out! It is driving me crazy....
Anyone have any exercises or ideas on how I can tone that area??

Most likely the pouch is fat that needs to be lost by burning more calories than you consume0

I do cardio and pilates all the time to try to tone that area.
I know a lot of women that have had a c-section that never can seem to get rid of this pouch. It drives me nuts because it's like I lose everywhere BUT there.0 -
Everyone has the last spot they lose from. Perhaps that is yours.0

I was told by a PT that the best way to get shot of belly fat is to work your legs, REALLY work them! Squats with a barbell, 3 way lunges, mountain climbers, burpees (eeep! I HATE them)
Its the most stubborn place to sort out, stick at it :flowerforyou:0 -
Hi! I've heard that core training may be able to help get rid of it but to be honest I've also heard that it may not completely go away. I have a mother's apron (lower belly fat that hangs) that most women get after they have a c-section but I've had it ever since I was 15. It's basically from gaining weight, losing weight and gaining it back again.
Anyways, I just googled and found a couple of core exercises to help reduce the "flab". Sorry I couldn't be of much help but I definitely relate to your frustration.0 -
I have had 3 c-sections and totally understand what you mean about the pouch
It maybe scar tissue0 -
I had a radical surgery and my abdomen is now uneven. It is just something I have had to learn to accept. As I continue to lose weight, it is less noticeable. There are some things we cannot change!0

I probably do need to accept it, but man it kills me to be toned all over and then have that stupid pouch sticking out! LOL0
