I would definitely count them. Calories are calories.:grumble: :happy:0

Absolutely! It's not just calories but sugar, sodium, etc. etc. that also contributes to healthy or unhealthy eating0

Count them! Did you see my tirade over fresh green beans last night? I was surprised at the carbs in fresh green beans. Surprised...no irritated, but I'm glad I stuck to my calories. I even counted a fire ball once. HOT! Count them all and keep up the good work!0

Count em in! I count everything and plug it in..but it is also a great way to see how much you are getting of fruits and veggies..in case you aren't getting enough. I am really bad with veggies.. I get maybe one serving a day..so I plug em in when I can so I can work on adding more0

Definitely count them!
A calorie is a calorie is a calorie (not to mention nutritional value).
Some of those fruits that are high in sugars have WAY more calories than a 100 too!0 -
I missed the Tirade! ~smiling~ What was it? (going to look now).
How many calories in your average Fireball?0 -

I don't count my vegetables. They are my filler food but I do count them in my fruits because they have quite a bit of calories. I could easily eat 300 calories worth of fruit and not even realize it!0

Thanks! ~smiling~
Hmmmm... 5 fireballs a day ~ 200 to 250 calories!
Not bad!
Now if they could only supplement them with vitamins!0 -
Fireballs...Breakfast of hot champions. :laugh:0

I don't count fibrous vegetables...they are comprised of mostly water and cellulose, which we can't digest. Some examples are lettuce, spinach, green beans, yellow squash, and brocolli. Starchy vegetables, however, are high in carbohydrates and slightly lower in fiber, so they are fully digestible and I count them. Some examples include peas, corn, carrots, and acorn squash.
Fruits are high in glucose and fructose (types of sugars) and also fairly high in calories depending on the type (a large banana contains enough carbohydrates for an entire meal for me), so I do count those.0 -
The only thing I don't count is lettuce........ because I mean, come on. lol. But fruits and various other veggies can really add up. Did you know a medium banana is over 100 calories? And yesterday I had 2 slices of watermelon and it came to about 160 calories. Apples, pears, oranges and grapes are pretty up there per serving too. I read that on a 1200 cal. diet you really jsut need 1 cup of fruit per day, its ok to go over that but I certainly wouldn't make fruit a free food... its loaded with sugar!0
