I am currently on day 84 of insanty. As of now I do not have a HRM, but am looking into getting one. Are some of you just doing the insanity workouts as your excercise or doing other workouts along with it? Also, how many calories are you allowing yourself with doing the insanity workouts? Because I don't have the HRM and don't know how many calories I'm burning with insanity, I'm not sure about the accuracy of my calories in MFP. I do insanity 6 days a week. I would love to be able to add this info into my excercise with MFP, but can't b/c of the now knowing the calories that are being burned. THANKS!

MFP is generally high. I had always assumed I was burning more calories but when I got my HRM was suprised at the difference. I generally burn between 225-400 depending on the workout. Most of the max interval I am burning above 300. I had always thought the calorie burn was between 500-1,000 cals which I think is the case for some people.
Your calorie burn will be different than everyone else's.0 -
Im on week 3 of insanity and im Actually planning of starting 30 ds tonight to see how I cope doing both. I wear a HRM and usually burn around 400. Although I did pure cardio and cardio abs today and burnt 559 but on cardio recovery days I only burn just over a 100. Even though u don't have a HRM you should still log them even as circuit training.0

That's good to know. I know everyone will burn differently, but I was just curious on what other people were seeing who were doing insanity. You'll have to let me know what you think of 30ds. I looked up a workout on youtube, and I have to be honest.....it didn't look like much of anything to me (no offense to anyone doing it) but I think b/c I'm already doing insanity and that's the craziest I've seen so far. Please let me know your opinion b/c I would love to try other workouts when done with insanity.0
