So disappointed with myself..

I haven't worked out properly for a good few months, and I chose to get myself back into exercising this evening with 30 day shred.
I've tried 30 day shred before, and did find it difficult on level 1, but managed it.. This evening I could only get through 8 minutes before my arms felt like jelly, my thighs burned like crazy & I was panting excessively.
I feel so disappointed. I'm hating myself right now for not even completing the full workout :-(

Don't beat yourself up about it and don't let it demotivate you. I used to be really fit, would have done 3 classes at the gym then martial arts training at night. Then after my second child I had gained loads of weight and had no fitness. My first time on a treadmill I lasted 3mins and thought I was gonna faint. But I kept at it and my goal was always adding another 2 mins each time I went. That was 3 months ago and now I can complete insanity workouts. Just push yourself a little each time U do it, don't give up. It's very easy to lose fitness but hard to get back so just keep doing what you can. Take a break during the workout then get right back into it. Remember the mind will give up before the body does so keep telling yourself you can do it best of luck0

Exactly what angelmma said. I was in the same situation, and I took Jillian's advice that when I really needed a break to take one, but jump back in when I could. I took more breaks than actually exercising during that first day of level 1. But I made sure that every day I added a few more reps to each workout or a few extra seconds of the cardio portion. Build slowwwwwwwwly and I promise it will get better! Just don't give up. I did this with my diet too (very slowly made changes to my diet) and for me, it's the only way to break bad habits and create new ones.0
