So....i learned today why I will NEVER again forget to stretch at the end of my workout. I can barely move my back and my flanks I am so sore. I am on day 1 of week 2 in my TUrbo FIre program and i am sooo sore! I did the long 55 minute workout today and at the very end, my baby started crying so I knew...I just didn't have another 15 minutes to stretch....yaeaaah, next time I'm going to be sure that I come back to it!! I AM A DUM-Azzz

FUTURE NOTICE TO MYSELF:
DON"T BE A FOOL--STRETCHING IS COOL

Have a happy night all!

Actually the evidence around stretching at the end of a workout to prevent soreness is inconclusive. It does have other benefits though, flexibilty for example.

I am a BIG believer in stretching. True, it doesn't prevent/fix DOMS, but it certainly does help with range of motion and stiffness. My IT bands are tight as bats, and the only way I can keep working out daily is by foam rolling/stretching them daily. There is a lot of research out there on both sides of the stretching argument, but really, just focus on what feels good to you. I know I feel better stretching after a good Turbo Jam workout :)

Well noatter what people in a lab say about stretching;I know that for me....(and in my journey,I matter) I Need to stretch. I need it in a 'I can't touch my toes, pick up my baby, change a diaper , sit on the floor' kind of way !!

Needless to say I did my stretching after my workout today!

I feel a lot better later if I stretch. Seems to help with the stiffness.
